Once the design has been completed and approved for construction, the project then moves into the Build Phase. The projects in this section will be either awaiting the start of construction or construction is underway. Although the construction is carried out by the Developer, the City takes an active role in monitoring the work being completed to ensure that it adheres to the previously approved design plan and the City of Edmonton Design and Construction specifications.

The extent of this project to construct the first two lanes of 25 Avenue SW. Construction is anticipated to start in 2017.

41 Avenue SW: Heritage Valley Trail to Chappelle Road

Detailed Design Approved for Construction

The extent of this project is to construct the first two lanes of 41 Avenue SW from Heritage Valley Trail to Chappelle Road in order to accommodate growth and increased traffic flows from future developments. This project is carrying over from 2016 and will be completed in the 2017 construction season.
