About the Project

Project Lifecycle Design

105 Avenue is emerging as a key corridor in the revitalization of the Downtown north edge.

In 2016, the City completed Phase 1 streetscape improvements from 116 Street to 119 Street, to help make 105 Avenue more accessible and pedestrian-friendly. This construction was based on the 2013 preliminary design focused on 105 Avenue between 109 Street and 119 Street.

Phase 2 will bring the remaining portions of 105 Avenue, from 97 Street to 116 Street, up to a similar level of streetscape now found between 116 and 119 Street.

The design refresh will also include protected bicycle lanes along 105 Avenue. The completed portion along 105 Avenue between 102 Street and 105 Street will not be part of this project. However, it will be reviewed to ensure design continuity along the whole corridor.

Where We Are

Phase 2 - Preliminary Design Review

The 2013 preliminary design is being refreshed. The refresh will look at the remaining portion of 105 Avenue, from 97 Street to 116 Street, with an emphasis on protected bike lanes. This also includes drainage upgrades.

Phase 1 - Construction Complete

Streetscape improvements on 105 Avenue, from 116 Street to 119 Street, were completed in 2016 to make the roadway more accessible and pedestrian-friendly.
