The City of Edmonton owns three designated Municipal Historic Resources in Oliver neighbourhood that are in need of repair and rehabilitation.

The properties are:

  1. John Lang Apartments (9908, 9910, 9912, 9914 - 112 Street): Built as a duplex in 1907 and converted to a 4-plex in 1938
  2. Dame Eliza Chenier Residences (9926, 9928 – 112 Street): Built in 1911 as a duplex residential building
  3. Lester N Allyn House (9932 – 112 Street): Built in 1907 as a single family residential building

Project Overview

The City is committed to maintaining the historical properties of John Lang Apartment, Dame Eliza Chenier Residence and Lester N. Allyn House to be structurally sound and in alignment with the potential future uses for the houses.

Temporary Structural Bracing will be completed in 2018 to structurally maintain the houses while a long term strategy for the houses is being completed.
