Want to be part of a progressive, engaging, collaborative and cooperative group discussing big issues related to city growth? Are you willing to listen to diverse perspectives, participate in dialogue and contribute to the City’s work to support transit-oriented development?
The City of Edmonton has an exciting longer-term volunteer opportunity for individuals who would like to play a larger role in the development of the Coliseum Station Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP).
We are looking for up to 15 people to join our volunteer Community Stakeholder Committee. The committee members will provide advice and share insights about the development and potential implementation of this exciting, city-building project.
- Up to a fifteen (15) member volunteer advisory group facilitated by the Coliseum Station ARP Project Team from the City of Edmonton’s Sustainable Development department
- A place for robust conversation from diverse perspectives related to infill redevelopment around transit
- An opportunity for the City of Edmonton to develop ideas and gather feedback and advice on transit-oriented redevelopment opportunities at Coliseum Station
- A complement to existing and ongoing public engagement efforts related to the Coliseum Station Area Redevelopment Plan
Each Community Stakeholder Committee meeting will be a robust conversation facilitated by members of the Coliseum Station ARP Project Team from Sustainable Development.
It will be an opportunity for the City of Edmonton to gather feedback and solicit advice on planning content and process, project communications, and upcoming engagement.
It is expected that there will be at least 3 and no more than 5 meetings over the course of the project beginning after September 2017. Each meeting is expected to be 2-3 hours in length with an additional 2 hours of pre-meeting preparation time. The number of meetings and schedule will be confirmed at the first Committee meeting.
