Residents, community organizations and business owners know the strong points of their neighbourhood best. These public engagement events are an opportunity to share ideas and initiatives that will benefit Balwin and Belvedere communities and make them thrive in the long term.

A community working group has been struck to co-create the strategy with the Revitalization Project team.

After collecting and analyzing the public input from the ongoing engagement events, a What We Heard report and a Revitalization Strategy will be completed and made public in the fall of 2019.

Upcoming Events

Public Drop-in Event - May 4

Date: Saturday, May 4
Time: 12-4pm (drop-in)
Location: Belvedere Community League, 13223 62 Street NW

Over the past 5 months, we spoke to Balwin and Belvedere residents, organizations and businesses about the changes they want to see in their community. The Revitalization project team will host another lively public engagement session to share back the areas that have been identified as priorities. We will ask the community to help us refine actions and confirm the priorities for the revitalization program before we submit a comprehensive strategy to City Council in fall 2019.

At the event, you will

  • Learn about community development opportunities through Revitalization
  • Help us refine the components of the Strategy and determine community development initiatives for the next two years
  • Find out ways to get involved
