The City recycles concrete and asphalt from household renovations, reconstruction projects and private demolition. This service provides an economical source of aggregates that are used to build and maintain the City's roadways.

How Do I Obtain the Service?
For a fee, the City of Edmonton accepts aggregate waste (concrete and asphalt) for recycling at the Edmonton Waste Management Centre year round.

Aggregate waste (concrete and asphalt) can be dropped off for free from April until November at one of our aggregate recycling sites:
  • Southeast Recycling Site located at 5221 - 17 Street 
  • West Recycling Site located at 18403 - 107 Avenue
Please note that the Southeast and West recycling sites will be closed for the winter season from November 30, 2018 to April 1, 2019.
