Edmonton is a vibrant winter city with  Edmontonians celebrating and embracing daily living in a cold climate. Keeping our sidewalks free of snow and ice is critical in keeping Edmontonians moving safely and enjoying winter.

But shoveling can be difficult, and even dangerous, for many citizens -- especially those with limited mobility or certain health conditions.

Snow Angels is a community based program where participating community leagues recognize and encourage their community to keep sidewalks free of snow and ice and help out a neighbour voluntarily. Snow Angels are eligible to win a Boston Pizza party.

Snow Angels is no longer a nomination based program.

Shovelling Help For Seniors

Please access the Seniors Home Supports Program.

When seniors contact the organization that coordinates the program in their area of the city they are given referrals to a number of service providers.

Seniors contact the service providers to discuss the work they need done and the costs. The senior then selects a service provider that fits their needs.

Seniors are not charged for the referral but they will pay a fee to the service provider for completing the work.
