This permanent endowment fund will support continuous improvement in the public service by providing annual educational awards to staff.

The awards will assist staff to pursue post-secondary studies in areas that will promote public service excellence. Awards can be used to offset the cost of tuition, fees, books, learning tools or other materials

Employees who live in the Capital Region and work for the federal, provincial, regional and municipal governments will be eligible to apply.

The highest priority will be given to permanent employees who demonstrate:

  • Commitment to an ongoing career in the public service
  • Clear educational goals to further the employee’s ability to promote public service excellence
  • Financial need to cover costs beyond the training and development resources provided by the public sector organizations

The Edmonton Community Foundation will administer the fund. Donations can be made to the Edmonton Community Foundation using this donation form.
