We are excited to invite you to Engage Edmonton 2018. This is a family-friendly engagement event where several City project teams are seeking your input on various topics that matter to you.

The “One-Stop Shop” approach makes it easy for you to share your voice and shape your city.

Date: Thursday November 8, 2018
Time: 3-7pm
Location: Mill Woods Town Centre Mall (Centre Court) - 2331 66 Street NW

Alongside opportunities to engage with City staff on a variety of projects, there will be children's activities, free snacks and beverages.

Project Teams

Come out and share your voice for the following city projects:

Accessible Parking

If you use an accessible parking placard or are a local business owner, we want to hear from you. The City is evaluating where and how accessible parking placard holders use curbside parking in both designated accessible parking stalls and EPark zones.

  • What options could ensure that registration for accessible parking in EPark zones is fast and easy for accessible parking placard holders?
  • Where should designated accessible curbside parking be located, and how much should there be?

Bus Network Redesign

Share your thoughts about the proposed new bus network and routes that are changing in 2020. We’ve revised the draft bus network based on public feedback received this spring.

  • Let us know if our final draft network reflects the spirit of the main changes you requested.

The City Plan

Join us in developing our future Edmonton by contributing to the City Plan. It will detail how we build, grow and move around our city. We want to know:

  • What kind of city do you want Edmonton to be in the future?
  • What about a future city would make you feel more connected to your friends and family?

Edmonton Bike Plan

The last 10 years have seen a lot of change, growth and conversation around bikes, and we’re getting ready to develop the next Bike Plan for Edmonton.

  • What are your thoughts on the existing bike network and what should be considered as we plan for the future?

Residential Waste

The way Edmontonians sort and manage their waste at home and work is changing. We need your input on several important topics including:

  • How can we improve waste reduction and reuse in our community?
  • What waste sorting and garbage collection options would work best in your neighbourhood?

Smart Cities Challenge

Join us in the Smart Cities Challenge to help us brainstorm ideas to improve livability and opportunities for the city and its people.  We want to know:

  • What could make Edmontonians feel more connected?
  • This will help shape the Smart Cities Challenge proposal that will be submitted to Infrastructure Canada.

Zoning Bylaw

Learn about the rules that shape your city and how you can get involved in the City’s Zoning Bylaw Renewal - a project to update all of Edmonton’s zoning rules that guide the development of land in our community.

  • We also welcome your feedback on potential changes to minimum parking stall requirements for new homes and businesses
