We are excited to invite you to Engage Edmonton 2018. This is a family-friendly engagement event where several City project teams are seeking your input on various topics that matter to you.

The “One-Stop Shop” approach makes it easy for you to share your voice and shape your city.

Date: Thursday October 18, 2018
Time: 3-7pm
Location: Northgate Centre - 9499 137 Avenue NW

Alongside opportunities to engage with City staff on a variety of projects, there will be children's activities, free snacks and beverages.

Project Teams

Come out and share your voice for the following city projects:

Accessible Parking

If you use an accessible parking placard or are a local business owner, we want to hear from you. The City is evaluating where and how accessible parking placard holders use curbside parking in both designated accessible parking stalls and EPark zones.

  • What options could ensure that registration for accessible parking in EPark zones is fast and easy for accessible parking placard holders?
  • Where should designated accessible curbside parking be located, and how much should there be?

The City Plan

Join us in developing our future Edmonton by contributing to the City Plan. It will detail how we build, grow and move around our city. We want to know:

  • What kind of city do you want Edmonton to be in the future?
  • What about a future city would make you feel more connected to your friends and family?

Edmonton Bike Plan

The last 10 years have seen a lot of change, growth and conversation around bikes, and we’re getting ready to develop the next Bike Plan for Edmonton.

  • What are your thoughts on the existing bike network and what should be considered as we plan for the future?

Recreation Centre Programs for People with Disabilities

The City of Edmonton currently offers a variety of recreation programs for Persons with Disabilities. We are looking to make some exciting changes to our programming in January 2019.

  • What do you think of the proposed changes? Will they meet the needs of people with cognitive and physical challenges, and their care providers?

Residential Waste

The way Edmontonians sort and manage their waste at home and work is changing. We need your input on several important topics including:

  • How can we improve waste reduction and reuse in our community?
  • What waste sorting and garbage collection options would work best in your neighbourhood?

Yellowhead Trail Freeway Conversion

Many Edmontonians will benefit from improved safety and smoother traffic flows when Yellowhead Trail is converted to a freeway. Construction is planned for 2019-2026.

  • Let us know how the overall plan and construction activity might affect you as a resident, business owner or commuter
