In Phase 1 of the Council Initiative on Public Engagement, we heard that there needs to be processes put in place that will help to ensure that we are meeting our public engagement goals and living the guiding principles articulated in Phase 1.  This Working Group of community members and City staff developed an evaluation framework with measures, metrics and targets that includes the context, the process and the impact of public engagement. This framework will assess if we are meeting our goals and living our public engagement guiding principles.

This Working Group also developed a public reporting system and a strategy for recognizing excellence in public engagement.
