Participants in Phase 1 of the Council Initiative on Public Engagement strongly expressed that the City of Edmonton’s public engagement needs to do a better job of working with the breadth and diversity of Edmonton communities and civil society. To help address this, this Working Group of community members and City staff developed an online community leadership database and mapping tool. This tool will help specialized staff who build relationships with, invite input from, and host people within (and across) our city ensure diverse voices representing many perspectives are at the table to contribute to the decision making that shapes our city.
