The City is providing account holders of legal secondary suites an opportunity to share one set of carts between all suites. Carts consist of:
- 1 large (240L) garbage cart, and
- 1 food scraps cart
The secondary suite cart sharing application form will be open on January 20, 2021.
To share one set of carts between all suites, you must apply between January 20, 2021 and February 12, 2021. No applications after February 12 will be accepted.
Your next opportunity to sign up for the program will then be in September 2021.
If an account holder does not submit an online request to share carts, Waste Services will deliver a separate set of carts for each suite listed under the account from March to August 2021.
Please note: the account holder is responsible for any waste utility rate(s) associated with carts. Residents participating in the cart sharing program only pay one monthly utility rate ($47.22).
