Donating is a great way to keep usable items out of the landfill.
Not sure where to start? Look at the map of Edmonton nonprofit organizations that accept donations (be sure to click on the icon). Also consider offering items to family or friends or selling them online.
Please ensure your donation is helping, not hindering! These organizations have to pay to discard unwanted donations. Please:
- Check to see if the organization accepts your specific item(s)
- Make sure your donations are clean and in good condition
- Never leave items outside drop-off locations, unless instructed to do so
- Call prior to drop-off if the organization requests
