Note: Many City of Edmonton grant applications have moved to online submissions.

As part of the City of Edmonton's COVID-19 response, the Community Resources (Grants) section is working from home. Your best options for reaching us during this time are:

  • To email us at grants@edmonton.ca. This email address is checked multiple times a day to ensure a quick response to your query.
  • Call Grant Coordinators directly, or Community Resources at 780-496-4933 and leave a message. Voice messages come to us by email and messages left on the Community Resources number will be forwarded to the right person to help with your issue.

The Community Resources team is doing its best to ensure we continue to help you during this time, and we thank you for your patience.

Each spring, dozens of Edmonton community groups apply for help to get rid of any large, bulky items cluttering up the back alleys, streets or other areas in their neighbourhoods. Under the Community Bin Grant Program, the City offers funds on a first-come, first-served basis that can be used for bin rentals (including the truck, driver and disposal costs) and truck rentals to drive through the area and collect large items.

Program Guidelines

For other ways to tidy up your neighbourhood, consider the City’s other Litter Management Programs.
