Waste and Recycling in Edmonton Presentation
When: Any weekday, evening, or weekend that works for you
Duration: 1-1.5 hours
Available to: LINC and ESL teachers, newcomer organizations and any community group with English language learners.
Explore Edmonton’s waste management system! We will cover recycling, Eco Stations and proper waste set outs for houses and apartments. Participants will be challenged to apply what they’ve learned in a hands-on waste sorting game. The presentation can be customized depending upon the language level and knowledge level of your group.

When: Any weekday or Saturday that works for you
Duration: 2 hours
Available to: Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) and English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers, newcomer organizations, and any community group with English language learners.
Please note: You will need to supply a bus to transport you and your group around the Edmonton Waste Management Centre.
Maximum group size: 40
With its collection of innovative waste processing facilities, the Edmonton Waste Management Centre has been called “the ultimate waste theme park.” Discover how your recyclables are sorted, your garbage is transformed into compost and biofuel and your e-waste is recycled.
Please note: Your tour can be combined with the ‘Waste and Recycling in Edmonton’ presentation. If booking both, we recommend the presentation take place before your tour.
