The EXPO Centre will welcome any person who is homeless and currently using shelters.

The EXPO Centre will serve 2 purposes:

The isolation shelter is for individuals who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms to self isolate and to receive medical and health services. The Boyle McCauley Health Centre is providing medical care and Alberta Health Services will be providing home care, public health, addiction and mental health, infection control and environmental public health support.
Hours of operation: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The day drop-in is for individuals who do not have COVID-19 symptoms but need a space to practice social distancing.
Hours of operation: 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.

How citizens can help:

The EXPO Centre will not be accepting donations directly. Instead, citizens can help in these ways:

  • Call 211, 24/7 Crisis Diversion for non-emergency support for shelter, intoxication and mental health

Visit the website of one of our local homeless serving agencies to learn how you can best assist at this time. Some agencies are adjusting their donation policies in light of COVID-19.
