Who We Are

The Insurance and Claims Management manages the City’s commercial insurance program, acts as the insurer for the City’s departments and maintains the Financial Responsibility Card as required under the Insurance Act to own, operate and maintain the City’s fleet. The Claims Management team handles claims made by third parties against the City for injuries and/or property damages and by the departments against the self insured fund for City’s property damages. 

The insurance team also provides a broad range of insurance advisory services to the insured partners to ensure adequate protection for the assets and operations. These services include design of insurance & bonding requirements for contracts, insured risk assessment of emerging operational and capital projects, review of certificates of insurance and loss control inspections for facilities.
