New crowdsourcing feature in Transit App GO

ETS customers can make decisions about their trip based on how crowded a bus or LRT might be with a new crowdsourcing feature in Transit App GO. It allows customers to report crowding on buses and LRT in real-time.

After planning a trip in Transit app, any user can tap GO for step-by-step navigation on ETS’ routes can help other customers by relaying crowding information about their transit vehicle in real-time. With the new GO crowdsourcing feature, customers can provide more accurate information about crowding on buses and LRT. Once GO detects a customer has boarded a bus or LRT, it asks one simple question: how crowded is the bus? Users can choose between three options: not crowded, some crowding, or crowded. Your response is then shared anonymously with other customers for the next 10 minutes before expiring. When a nearby customer looks at a trip that involves your bus or train, they will see your crowding report.

Knowing how crowded a bus or LRT may be ahead of time can help you plan your trip safely during the pandemic, providing peace of mind and an increased sense of security.
