ETS offers a discount to students of recognized post-secondary institutions. The discount is approximately 10% off the regular adult monthly pass price.
Publicly-funded post-secondary institutions:
Students enrolled full-time on an Edmonton campus in a program of study leading to a diploma, certificate or degree.
Private Post secondary Institutions:
Students enrolled full-time on an Edmonton campus in a licensed vocational program, which has been approved under the Alberta Private Vocational Training Act and/or the Private Vocational Training Regulation, or in a degree-granting program of Divinity.
In order for students to receive this discount their school must be registered with Edmonton Transit. View the list of registered post-secondary institutions.
Schools may contact ETS Customer Services for further information. Students enrolled at approved institution registered with ETS must be able to produce valid student ID (with photo) issued by their school, along with proof of current full-time enrolment.
Students at registered institutions that have an ETS pass outlet at their institution must purchase their pass at their campus location.
Students at registered institutions where there is no ETS pass outlets on campus, can only purchase discounted passes at ETS Customer Service. Current student photo ID and full-time enrolment confirmation must be provided for purchase.
U-Pass is a transit program that gives eligible students at participating post-secondary institutions unlimited access to regular Edmonton, St. Albert Transit (StAT) and Strathcona County Transit services. Eligible students are assessed a U-Pass fee by their institution for each term that they are enrolled and which U-Pass is applicable.
U-Pass does not include charter, special event or contracted services provided by ETS, St. Albert Transit or Strathcona County Transit to outlying communities, or specialized handibus transit services offered by StAT and Strathcona County Transit. ETS DATS will accept U-Pass.
