Fares
To ensure a smooth and safe transit journey for everyone, we recommend you purchase your fare product before you start your trip. This could be an Arc card/ticket, a pack of paper tickets or a Family/Day pass, depending on your needs.
For Standard Adult fare riders who regularly take transit to events, we recommend purchasing an Arc card. Riders can access the best fare rate through the Arc card ($2.75 a trip versus $3.50). Once you buy your card and load your fare, you can simply tap on the bus or train when you go to - and leave - the festival. You can then continue to load and use your Arc card for future transit use.
For non-regular transit riders or for people who live outside of the Edmonton region:
- Arc tickets can be purchased in advance using credit, debit or cash from an Arc fare vending machine at any LRT station, and then can be tapped when you’re going to/from the festival
- An Arc ticket acts like a temporary Arc card. For local/commuter service, they are valid for unlimited trips within 90 minutes from the moment you do your first tap
- Other ETS products can be purchased at various sales outlets
Please note: Operators and ETS staff do not carry change or fare products, and there are limited fare vending machines at LRT stations, which can result in lines on-site.
If you are paying with credit/debit card on-site, you will need to purchase an Arc card/ticket. The fare vending machines that issue ETS paper products only accept cash. If paying cash, $3.50 in exact fare needs to be presented.
