How do I enter the “Transit Operator Appreciation Day” Contest?
To enter the contest, you must:
- Follow ETS on the platform you are entering on: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
- Share your story either in a Tweet with the #ThanksToMyOperator or in a comment on our contest post found on the ETS Facebook and Instagram accounts.
One entry per person.
Entries will be deemed to be made by the authorized Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account holder at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder" is deemed as the natural person who is assigned to a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram address. Anyone found to use multiple social media accounts or platforms to enter will be ineligible. No responsibility is assumed by ETS for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries or any computer, online telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur in the processing, transmission or receipt of entries. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
How is a winner chosen?
Contestants who correctly comment with their responses will have their names entered into a random draw to win the prize. There will be a random draw for (1) ETS monthly transit pass.
The winner will be contacted in the comment section or via direct message and asked to email ETS. The winner must answer a skill-testing mathematical question in person to receive his/her prize. The winner will have five (5) business days to claim his/her prize upon receiving the message from ETS.
In order to win the prize, contestants must:
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Currently reside within the Edmonton Capital Region
- Correctly enter the contest
- Have government issued ID
- Correctly answer a skill-testing mathematical question
- Sign a Consent Form for the disclosure of the winner’s name, photo and release
- Follow ETS on the social media platform they enter on (@edmontontransit on Instagram, @takeETSalert on Twitter or takeETS on Facebook)
Contest is not open to current Edmonton Transit Service or City of Edmonton employees.
No operator information or information that could identify an operator can be included in the contest entry. All entries that do not comply with any of the above guidelines will be disqualified. Any offensive or harassing stories will be disqualified and removed.
What do I get if I win?
The one winner will be randomly selected in a draw for an ETS monthly transit pass. The approximate value of the pass is $97.
The chances of winning are dependent on the total number of entries received.
The winner is responsible for picking up their prize from the ETS communications team, located at Edmonton Tower, 10111 104 Ave NW, during office hours Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm. Prizes must be claimed by the actual winner with proof of identification.
