Start your New Year on a safe note — take transit to and from your New Year’s Eve celebrations. ETS and DATS service is free after 5 pm until the end of service.

Enjoy celebrations longer by tracking your bus anywhere, anytime using real-time tools.

Money collected in ETS fare boxes on New Year’s Eve is given to the DONATE A RIDE campaign.

Note: Route 540 to Beaumont, Route 560, 561 and 562 to Spruce Grove, Route 580 to Fort Saskatchewan, Route 599 to Edmonton Garrison, and Route 747 to the Edmonton International Airport are not part of the New Year’s Eve free service.

Special ETS Fireworks Service

Take the LRT to Grandin station and see the fireworks at the Legislative Assembly of Alberta Grounds.

ETS shuttle service is available between Downtown (100 Street and 102 Avenue) and the Government Centre, starting at 5pm.

After the fireworks, there will be shuttle buses in both directions at Government Centre and at 109 Street/99 Avenue to assist passengers in getting home safely. Shuttles will end once take-away service after the fireworks is complete.

Additional service will also be provided on Routes 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9, which travel to and from Downtown.
