Application Requirements

Agencies in operation for less than 1 year are not eligible for Donate A Ride. Please re-apply for the program once you have been in operation for one full year, and can provide your Proof of Filing and Certificate of Incorporation.

If you have any questions, please contact the Program Coordinator.
The City of Edmonton is not able to support individuals directly with fare product. Instead, we support individuals in need of subsidized transit through a variety of agencies and programs. Please reach out to any agencies that you are already connected with to see if they offer any support for access to transit. All City of Edmonton transit subsidy programs can be found on edmonton.ca within our Fare Assistance Programs.

To be eligible for this program, you must have the administrative capacity to track tickets internally, submit  a mid-year and final report.
Tracking requirements:

You must internally track the distribution of your fare products. The data from your tracking sheet is required to be submitted as part of the Google Form Report in June and in December.

  • Mid-term report (5-6 questions) is due in August.
  • The final report (5-6 questions) is due in December.
Ticket Request

There are a limited number of fare products available.

Please consider the number of clients your agency serves and the number of tickets you expect to distribute each month.

There is a second application if you run out of fare product.  Try not to over-order.
New this year - 2 fare product options!
  • Single tickets (available in books of 10)
  • Family Day Pass (valid for 24 hours for 2 adults + 3 children)
  • Three Family Day Passes are comparable to 11 single tickets
  • We recommend approximately 80% of your request = single tickets, 20% = day passes.  (However, you can choose what you want.)
  • Your application will be considered on the total value of your request
