"Ridden Down" by Alberta artist Clay Ellis can be viewed in the south mezzanine of Churchill LRT Station.   This abstract, vertical piece of art is made of welded steel and is one of a series of sculptures created by the artist.

Clay Ellis is a sculptor with an international reputation who has exhibited his work world-wide and has pieces of work in public collections around the world.

The sculpture is on extended loan from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.   It's one of the ways we're trying to make the LRT system more interesting for people using it, as well as an opportunity for us to support the arts community.

Churchill Square Mural

This aerial perspective of the First Night Festival crowds in Churchill Square by Peter Field was the first piece of wall art in Edmonton's LRT system. The image duplicated the cover of the 1991 First Night Festival program also designed by Peter Field. This mural was co-sponsored by Edmonton Transit and First Night Festival.
