When will I receive my order?
Fare product orders are mailed using Canada Post. If you select the "No Signature" option, orders are sent using regular mail. If you request a "Signature Required" option for delivery, we use the XpressPost service, which provides package tracking and signed delivery confirmation. If no one is home to sign for your delivery, Canada Post will leave a notice card with information on where to pick up the order. Please allow a minimum of 5 business days to receive your pass, particularly if using regular mail/no signature. Please also ensure you provide a complete mailing address including suite, room or office numbers.
What can I do if this delivery method is inconvenient for me?
While the signature requirement provides greater security, it may not be convenient for all customers. If you are not at home to provide a signature, a card will be left in your mailbox indicating which post office you can visit to provide a signature and receive your package. The option to waive the delivery signature provides greater convenience, but less security. Choosing this option means that your pass order will be left in your mailbox, and any lost or stolen passes will be your personal responsibility; your purchase will not be refunded by ETS if it goes missing.
When is the following months pass available for purchase online?
Passes for the following month are available on the first Tuesday of the previous month (i.e. January 2016 passes available December 1, 2015; February 2016 passes available January 5, 2016.)
How do I place an order online?
  1. On the main page, once you've selected the number of units, select "Update Cart" located beside the quantity box.
  2. Select "Go to Checkout". The Billing Information screen appears where you can enter your billing address; please select the "Continue" arrow at the bottom of the screen.
  3. The Checkout screen appears where you can review your order; modify the shipping address, etc.
  4. Next, select "Payment Info" located at the bottom of the page. This should bring you to the page where you can enter your credit card information.
  5. Finally, select "Submit Order" located at the bottom of the page.
How do I know if my transaction was successful?

After placing your order, you will receive 2 email confirmations. One is an order receipt with the details of your order, and the other is a purchase receipt confirming that your credit card was charged. If you do not receive these emails, contact us at onlinestore@edmonton.ca to confirm if your transaction completed successfully.

What if I have a problem with my order?

Email us at onlinestore@edmonton.ca. Please include your contact information, a full description of your problem and your order id.

What is the online purchase refund policy?

All transit passes and tickets purchased online are not refundable.

Can I order a product and ask you to ship to someone else?

Yes. Using the address book feature of the online store allows you to store multiple shipping and billing addresses.

How do I receive my AIR MILES® reward miles?

AIR MILES® reward miles can be collected by purchasing either of the following two fare types:
Adult Monthly Pass (15 AIR MILES® reward miles)
Adult Ticket Strip (3 AIR MILES® reward miles)

If you qualify and wish to take part in an AIR MILES® reward miles offer, select the appropriate fare product with the corresponding reward miles and at checkout an AIR MILES® collector box will appear. Enter in your collector number to have the AIR MILES® directly deposited into your collector account.

What are my payment options?

Currently you can pay for your order in Canadian Dollars using Visa, MasterCard and American Express..

Is it safe to use my credit card?

Yes. The City uses a secure and accredited partner to process all payments on its online store. We have implemented security enhancements, Verified by Visa (VBV) and MasterCard SecureCard (SC) for all City of Edmonton online payments. When you enter your credit card information, you are required to enter a password. If you haven't registered for this new feature, you will be redirected to your credit card company's website to register.

Will my personal information be safe?

Yes. The City of Edmonton does not receive your credit card information.

Do shipping and handling charges apply?

Yes, $2 shipping & handling charge along with the applicable GST ($0.10) per order will be added prior to completion of your order.

Can I show my online receipt to the bus driver until I receive my actual pass in the mail?

No, only regular fare products are accepted on ETS buses and trains; receipts will not be accepted by transit operators or security as valid fare. (Note: boarding without a valid fare could subject you to a fine of $250. Allow at least 5 days to receive your order in the mail.)
