Application Approved

City Council approved the proposal at the June 12, 2017 Public Hearing - see items 5.1 and 5.2 on the agenda.

Pop Up Information Session

Two informal drop in information sessions were held on Wednesday May 24, 2017 and Thursday May 25, 2017 from 4-7pm in the lobby of the William Lutsky Family YMCA. Members of the public were invited to drop in anytime to learn about:

  • The proposal that will be going forward to City Council at the June 12, 2017 Public Hearing
  • The feedback we gathered from the public and how it affected the proposal
  • The Public Hearing process

City staff were available to answer questions. Over 200 people attended the two sessions.

Open House

An Open House was held on November 30, 2016 from 6-8:30pm in the Rideau Park School gymnasium. Members of the public were invited to drop in anytime during the Open House.

Information about the proposal was available to view. City staff and the applicants were available to answer questions.

City staff gathered feedback on the proposal. Based on the feedback received at the Open House, two reports have been prepared:

A complete summary of comments is also available. This is a collection of all feedback forms and post-it notes collected from the Open House. Comments in this report are transcribed verbatim and arranged thematically.

Feedback from the Open House has been shared with the applicant, Ward Councillor, and the Ermineskin Community League.

In addition to the Pop Up and Open House, Planning and Environment Services has engaged with the Ermineskin Community League. City staff have attended four in-person meetings with the league board and their Real Estate Development Committee.
