We would never have achieved our goals without you, and we are still growing!

Every year, the Root for Trees initiative has continued to increase planting withing the city through partnerships with corporations, individual residents and community groups.

In 2016 there were 138 tree planting events and 12 special events facilitated from May to October through the Root for Trees initiative. These events increased naturalized, ornamental and fruit bearing species in parks, the river valley, along roadways, around stormwater management ponds and near community leagues.

With your help:
36,463 trees & shrubs were planted by 4,120 volunteers
6,480 trees and shrubs were planted through partnerships
58,949 trees and shrubs planted through naturalization on roadways
