What is Advancing Age Friendly Edmonton?

Age Friendly Edmonton is an opportunity for Edmontonians, of all ages, to identify opportunities to age better together.

Engagement Process and Reporting Back

Edmontonians were invited to participate in a conversation about how we can better achieve the goals of creating a city that:

  • Supports aging in place
  • Improves attitudes towards aging (ageism)
  • Provides opportunities for intergenerational interactions
  • Engages diverse populations.

We were looking for ideas on the specific actions we can take to advance the age friendly initiative in your communities and across the city.

Share Your Voice

Thank You for Sharing Your Voice

We hosted 5 workshops from June 6-25 across the city for Edmontonians to learn:

  • What has been done through the Age Friendly Edmonton initiative to date
  • Share what you think is needed to advance the Age Friendly Edmonton initiative further
  • Provide your input on strategic actions that respond to the 4 priority areas
The City of Edmonton is committed to involving the people affected by the decisions it makes. We seek diverse opinions, experiences and information so that a wide spectrum of information is available to decision makers.
