The City of Edmonton frequently surveys residents on specific issues and city-wide topics to determine satisfaction with civic services, identify spending priorities, and gather input on City activities.

The Citizen Satisfaction Survey provides indicators for public perception about the services provided by the City. The results of the survey are used to guide budget deliberations along with other public input, such as Citizen Panel recommendations, Budget public hearings, direct correspondence with Councillors and the Mayor, public involvement in specific projects and major plans like the Municipal Development Plan and Transportation Master Plan.
