The Employee Service Centre (ESC) is responsible for providing accurate and timely administration of pay, benefits, and providing employment life-cycle services for City of Edmonton employees. The ESC normally processes more than 12,000 pay advices every two weeks under very tight timelines to ensure all City of Edmonton staff are paid on time. In addition, the Employee Service Centre answers an average of 3,000 calls per month from employees.
The following is a list of the core services provided by the Employee Service Centre:
- Provides payroll, benefits, and pension administration for all City of Edmonton employees.
- Provides technical expertise to employees regarding pay, benefits, and pension issues.
- Provides access for employees to payroll/benefit information.
- Works with Human Resources Consultants and line supervisors to support the employment life-cycle processes.
