The City of Edmonton Sustainable Purchasing Policy (SPP) and Supplier Code of Conduct provides a framework for purchasing decision-making that contributes to the City’s strategic goals of Preserving and Sustaining Edmonton’s Environment and Diversifying and Strengthening Edmonton’s Economy.

In applying the SPP, the City will engage with suppliers to cooperatively provide products, services and construction solutions that address environmental, social and economic sustainability across the City’s supply chains.

The City’s Sustainable Purchasing Policy aims to maintain the City’s integrity and high ethical standards. The City now requires all new apparel suppliers to provide the locations of their production facilities or factories where City of Edmonton garments are made, including facilities that are owned by the bidder or sub-contracted by the bidder and where clothes are cut, sewn, trimmed, and where the product’s assembly takes place.

The following is a list of the factories and locations where City of Edmonton garments are produced.
