Online Services allows registered construction contractors to apply for and/or view their permits. Home Builders and Temporary Sign Applicants can use selfserve.edmonton.ca for online access. You must be a registered user to use selfserve.edmonton.ca and permits.edmonton.ca.

Electrical Applicant Responsibilities
This is a legally binding agreement.
By using online access you are agreeing to the applicant responsibilities.
  1. The applicant will not allow anyone other than an employee of the applicant to use the password and user ID and assumes full legal responsibility for its employees’ use of the password and user ID.
  2. The Master Electrician will be legally responsible for all construction undertaken pursuant to any permits issued through this service and for the accuracy of the information contained in any application for a permit.
  3. If the applicant uses this service to request an inspection, the applicant or a representative shall be available to provide any relevant information that the inspector may request and the applicant shall be legally responsible for the accuracy of this information.
  4. The Company will maintain or use at all times a Master Electrician with an active, and in good standing Master Electrician Certificate with the Alberta Electrical Masters Provincial Program.
  5. The applicant must notify the City in writing that their Master Electrician is no longer the signing master for your company.
  6. I consent to receive documents or communications related to permit applications, including but not limited to development permit decisions, acknowledgments confirming an application is complete, and any notices identifying any outstanding documents and information by email.
Mechanical Applicant Responsibilities

Once your account is created, a City of Edmonton representative will contact you with your user name and password. Remember to change your password when you first sign in to the system.

Electrical and Mechanical contractors can request password reset to eservices@edmonton.ca. Home builders and Temporary sign users can reset their password at selfserve.edmonton.ca
