The Lee Pavilion at the Citadel Theatre

This call for Expression of Interest for added uses and development for the Lee Pavilion at the Citadel Theatre is a joint City/Citadel initiative.  Both parties have signed a
Letter of Understanding outlining the intent and responsibilities of each party. The Citadel leases these lands from the City (with a current lease expiration in 2024).
 
The Citadel's intent is to magnify its current iconic venue and to generate an additional revenue stream.   The Citadel also wishes to maintain the existing Maclab Theatre, Tucker Amphitheatre, pedway to Canada Place and, to the extent possible, the public space and botanical winter garden.  Under the existing Core Commercial Arts Zone (CCA) permitted uses could include a combination of Hotel, Apartment Housing and Offices in a high rise building format. 

The Citadel's Board of Directors gave their formal approval to this initiative in February, 2012 and the City’s Corporate Leadership Team gave their approval to proceed on March 27, 2012.
