City of Edmonton Incentive Programs

Revolving Industrial Servicing (RIS) Fund

The RIS Fund provides rebate incentives to land developers to encourage “end user developments.”  The program assists land developers to service lands by bridging gaps in infrastructure services.

The fund has a maximum expenditure limit of $20 million.

Development Incentive Program

The Development Incentive Program facilitates grants for revitalizing and reinvesting in Edmonton’s main street commercial areas.

The grant may be provided to property owners in Enterprise Areas of a Business Improvement Area who invest in new development, redevelopment and/or conversion of their properties for mixed use, multi-unit residential, and/or eligible retail and commercial use storefront occupancy.

The program can provide reimbursement of up to 50% of the cost of renovations, up to a maximum of $15,000 per building.
