Edmonton's Industrial Neighbourhoods

Edmonton has four designated Industrial Districts: Northwest, Northeast, South and the Edmonton Energy and Technology Park (EETP). They are strategically located along major transportation corridors and spread throughout the city.

Edmonton has 2,144 gross hectares (5,300 gross acres) of designated vacant industrial land available for development (not including the EETP). There are more than 813 net ha (2,010 net acres) of vacant zoned industrial land ready for immediate development.

There is a further 4,860 gross hectares (12,009 acres) available for future development in the Edmonton Energy and Technology Park.

Each Industrial District includes designated industrial neighbourhoods.

Profile fact sheets for a number of the neighbourhoods are now available. These fact sheets are another tool to aid industrial developers, realtors and investors in making informed decisions on development and investment opportunities in the City of Edmonton.

The profile fact sheets provide general information about the neighbourhood including:

  • the amount of vacant land available,
  • zoning
  • location
  • servicing, and
  • transportation
