Environment Week is June 2 to 8, 2019. Here's a list of some events that are happening. We hope you'll join us!

City of Edmonton Events

Weed Pulls
May 25: Garlic Mustard is a non-native plant species that is invasive to our environment and can be destructive to native biodiversity and habitat. Mill Creek Ravine is one of few known locations in Edmonton where this prohibited noxious weed has been discovered. Help eliminate them at a weed pull. Garlic Mustard is easy to pull and has no thorns or skin irritants.

June 15 & 22: Orange hawkweed is a species native to Europe and originally introduced to North America as an ornamental plant. Orange hawkweed is very invasive to our environment and can be destructive to native biodiversity and habitat.

Eco-Solar Tours
June 1 and 2: An annual weekend event featuring energy-efficient and renewable energy technology at various open houses, all within the greater Edmonton area. This event does not require registration unless you want to sign up for CAGBC's bike tour of 5 homes.

Root For Trees Fest
June 1: A fun, family event at Goldbar Park, with tree plantings and giveaways, a Tree-athlon, educational exhibits and more.

World Environment Day
June 5:
 This year's theme is air pollution, with a call on people to join the Mask Challenge from May 24 to June 5.

Clean Air Day
June 5: Clean Air Day is celebrated the Wednesday of Environment Week.

Bike Events
June 6 & 8: An interactive, hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves event

June 15: Bike Plan Tour

June 6 to 9: Check out this carnival with exhilarating games, attractions and rides powered by renewable energy.

Downtown Sustainability Stroll
Various dates: Take a self-guided tour to learn about the various sustainability features in downtown Edmonton. Or reserve your spot on EventBrite and join us for a guided tour.
