Pre-Camp Registration Requirements

Prior to your child’s first day of camp, please print and fill out the camper information Daycamp Forms.

Remember to bring the completed forms with you when you drop off your child for his or her first day of camp.

Please note: All full day camps running 9am-4pm have early drop-off from 8-9am and late pick-up from 4-5pm.

Air Quality Advisory and Possible Camp Changes

Forest fires in BC are generating huge amounts of smoke over western Canada. Our camps will be adapted to ensure the best care and health of our campers. Trips will be evaluated modified, if need be. The safety of our campers is our number one priority.

Summer Day Camps

Nature Explorers (Ages 4-5)

Dates: July 4-7 (4 days); July 24-28
Time: 9am-12pm
Cost: $160(5 days); $130(4 days)

Hunt for a rainbow of colours around our forest and pond as we become nature explorers in this half-daycamp! We'll spend our week examining the blue sky and pond by making cloud creatures. We'll search for brown bugs, go on nature walks to see red squirrels and robins, search for flowers that our yellow honey bees might like, and of course meet some new green friends. We'll end the week by creating a rainbow out of the colors that we’ve discovered in nature!

Dino-Mania (Ages 5-7)

Dates: July 10-14; July 31 - August 4; August 8-11 (4 days); August 21-25
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $235(5 days); $215(4 days)

Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Spinosaurus! In this supersaurus-sized week of fun, we'll talk about all these amazing animals, handle real dinosaur fossils, learn what Edmonton was like in the time of the dinosaurs and play some dino-tastic games. At the end of the week, we'll spend a day at Jurassic Forest where we'll see massive, life-sized dinosaurs that roar, growl and even move!

Nature, That's Gross! (Ages 5-7)

Dates: July 4-7 (4 days); July 17-21
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $225(5 days); $210(4 days)

Nature is full of some of the grossest things imaginable. Animal poo, slime, and stinky smells are just a few of the amazing products of nature that we’ll discover. We'll take a trip to the Edmonton Valley Zoo to see what they do with all that poo, get our hands on some slimy worms, talk about owl pellets, and go on a smell scavenger hunt. By the end of the week, we'll all be saying “cool”, instead of “gross”!

Frogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Ages 6-9)

Dates: July 31-August 4; August 8-11 (4 days); August 28-September 1
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $250(5 days); $230(4 days)

Welcome to Frogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Over the course of this exciting week we’ll travel to the Muttart Conservatory for Herbology, learn 'Care for Magical Creatures' at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, and study the science of flight. We await your owl.

NSI: Nature Scene Investigation (Ages 6-9)

Dates: July 17-21; August 14-18
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $200

There has been a crime at the Nature Centre! We’ll use our detective skills to help catch the culprit and become an NSI: Nature Scene Investigator. Decode hidden messages, examine animal prints, make disguises, learn surveillance techniques, journey into the forests of Whitemud Ravine and discover secret facts about mysterious forest animals as we work together to crack the case!

Adventure Out (Ages 8-11)

Dates: July 4-7 (4 days); July 24-28
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $260(5 days); $240(4 days)

Are you ready to adventure out into the River Valley? In this “Get Outside” camp we’ll learn how to be safe outdoor adventurers. From making our own survival kits to going on nature hikes in Whitemud Ravine and learning to tell time using the sun, we’ll gain the skills needed to really adventure in the River Valley. The week will finish up with a visit to the new Snow Valley Aerial Park to practice our teamwork and build confidence in ourselves.

Wild For Art (Ages 7-10)

Dates: July 10-14; August 14-18; August 21-25
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $210

Become inspired by the wonders of nature in this wild art camp! We'll practice natural art techniques such as naturescaping, build our own art tools from nature and discover how to make maure paint from plants. We'll create many works of art, both inside and outside the Nature Centre, while gaining an appreciation for the beauty and importance of the nature all around us.

Jurassic World (Ages 8-11)

Dates: July 24-28; August 14-18; August 28-September 1
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $250

Let's journey back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the world! We'll explore the University of Alberta Paleontology Museum, examine real dinosaur fossils, experiment with preserving our own tracks, and even create our own mini volcano. To finish up the week, we'll go to Jurassic Forest to experience life-sized dinosaurs as they move and rumble!

Explore Edmonton (Ages 9-12)

Dates: July 17-21; July 31-August 4
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $260

Explore Edmonton in this multi-attraction camp by visiting the Muttart Conservatory, Edmonton Valley Zoo, Rundle Park, and Queen Elizabeth Park. We'll start by experiencing the wonders of nature at the John Janzen Nature Centre and then have exciting animal encounters at the zoo! Then we'll unearth the secrets of amazing plants at the Muttart, go canoeing in Rundle Park and even try out archery.

You and the Wild (Ages 9-12)

Dates: August 8-11 (4 days); August 21-25
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: $260(5 days); $230(4 days)

Outdoor challenge accepted! In this survival skill-building camp, we'll build shelters, practice starting campfires, and assemble our own survival kit. Next, we'll go hang out at Vertically Inclined Rock Gym to make sure we can climb out of any situation! Combined with instruction on edible and medicinal plants, tracking, and a whole lot of teamwork, this camp will be You and the Wild!
