Celebrate your child's birthday with a nature adventure at the John Janzen Nature Centre.
Just how big were the dinosaurs? Find out the answer to this question and many more while having a gigantically good time handling real fossils, pretending to be dinosaurs, and creating a dino-mite craft!

Explore the mysteries of the forest as we become nature sprites! Try on fairy wings and discover which plants and animals are a fairy's best friend. We’ll dance in a ring around our toadstool, go on a scavenger hunt to look for signs of fairies, and have a whimsical time!

Dance like animals, meet a small local animal, and use your senses to solve a puzzle in the this fun filled birthday intended for preschoolers and their adults. Program includes 45 minutes of play time in our nature-themed indoor playground, the Tegler Discovery Zone.

Discover the tracks and traces animals leave behind as we look for clues and solve mysteries such as "who's been wandering through the woods?". Practice making and identifying different kinds of animal tracks with some of our animal track replicas and play camouflage and stalking games.

A bug’s life will become reality when we examine the smallest ant to the biggest bug. We’ll meet some other tiny critters when we explore the forest. Peek inside our beehive, go on a bug hunt, create a critter and meet one of our live bug-eating animals up close.

Peek under the surface and use dip nets to discover the fascinating animals that call the pond their home. Predaceous diving beetles, phantom midges, and dragonfly nymphs are just a few that you might find.

Active winter fun for all! Learn to use snowshoes, play games, and identify the animal tracks left in the snow. If the weather is cold we’ll spend more time indoors creating wintry crafts and playing indoor games.

Add-ons must be confirmed and paid for at the time the birthday party booking is made. No refunds or additions will be accepted once the booking has been placed.
Birthday parties are available year round, but space is limited. Parties must be booked at least 6 weeks in advance. Book early to avoid disappointment! Payment for the program must be made at the time of booking.
