Meerkats are members of the mongoose family who live in colonies of up to 30 animals. They all have different jobs: babysitter, teacher and hunter. Meerkats have some immunity to venom, which allows them to eat scorpions. Look for the dark markings around their eyes. These markings help reduce the sun's glare.
