Crested geckos are both nocturnal and arboreal. They are found on the island of New Caledonia. They tend to hide in thick vegetation during the day and emerge at night to search for food. They are very agile and stealthy. Crested geckos can easily hold on to tree branches using the adhesive pads on their feet and their prehensile tails.
Fun Fact: The crested gecko is also known as the eyelash gecko.
