At what times of the day are the multipurpose rooms available for rent?

Multipurpose rooms at The Meadows Community Recreation Centre are available for rent at any time during facility hours (5:30am-10:30pm, exclusive of holidays).

Can the Indoor Playground be rented out for exclusive use?

No, however, our indoor playground can be used by the public between 8am-8pm daily. The playground operates on a first come, first served basis. There may be a wait time during peak hours and no preference is given to groups or those with a room rented. 

What is included with a multipurpose room rental?

Multipurpose rooms are equipped with a microwave, sink and counter space, tables, chairs, a white board, and a flat screen television. A bar refrigerator is provided in some of the multipurpose rooms. Facility admission is at an additional cost to room rental charges. Please be aware that multipurpose rooms are not stocked with dishes or cutlery so ensure that you bring your own if necessary. 

What can be brought into the multipurpose rooms?

Any outside food or drink can be brought into the facility. Sparklers, animals and inflatable play places (bouncy castles) are not permitted. 

What is the cancellation policy for rental & bookings?

There is a $25 cancellation fee for rentals cancelled within 48 hours of the rental start time. 

Will I have extra time to set up, decorate and clean up the multipurpose room after use?

You will have access to your multipurpose room no more than 5 minutes before the start of your rental. Please include any required set-up or clean up time in your requested rental time. 

Is there anywhere to store my supplies and decorations before/after my party?

No. You must arrange for storage of any food/decorations/gifts before or after your room rental time. Cashiers are unable to keep anything behind the cash desk or in any of the multipurpose rooms. 

Is there a fridge/freezer available to store food prior to my rental?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer storage space for perishables. Please keep this in mind when booking your rental.

Do I receive a discount if I am a City employee, have a community league, or Recreation Centre membership?

There is no further discount on multipurpose room rentals for City staff, community league members or City of Edmonton pass holders.

How far in advance should I book? How do I book?

Generally, you should try to book at least 2-3 weeks before your rental, as space is limited; however there is no minimum timeframe. To confirm a booking please e-mail themeadowsrentals@edmonton.ca or call 780-508-9070.

How long will it take to hear back about my room rental inquiry?

 Bookings are processed on a first come, first served basis. Depending on the volume of inquires, it could take 1-2 business days before you are contacted by a rentals coordinator. Your patience is appreciated.
