Sculpture: Clay Animals

No previous art experience needed. Learn the basics of clay as an art modelling medium and learn strategies for basic animal representation. Make a simple animal of your choice. Please think of two or three animals that you would like to sculpt and bring three or four images of each animal. All other supplies included.

Sculpture: Garden Sculpture

Learn some fabulous hand-building techniques while having a great deal of fun. Focus is on garden sculptures such as planters, gargoyles or masks. Work is done in medium-fire stoneware. Supply List: Some basic ceramic tools. Often a starter pottery tool kit is sufficient. A 12' x 12' board to sculpt on. Larger clear plastic bags to wrap your sculpture.

Sculpture: The Female Figure

This course is open to all levels of experience and explores the female form in the medium of clay. Students will be challenged to use texture as a part of the process while focusing on anatomy and form. Working from a live model, students will focus on one large sculpture over a three week period.
