The City of Edmonton offers outdoor opportunities for active living that you can take advantage of during the pandemic.

Take advantage of Edmonton’s extensive network of parks and trail systems. Just remember to keep 2 metres physical distance from those around you and no groups larger than 5 people and only a maximum of 2 households can come together. The households must remain physically distanced.

Tennis and Basketball Courts
Outdoor tennis and basketball courts and skate parks remain open for safe, responsible use. If using these areas, you must limit play to those within your household, or two close contacts if you are single. Always follow the restrictions for physical distancing. Please spread out and make use of the many amenities available throughout the City. Do not overcrowd these spaces.

All playgrounds remain open. These spaces are not sanitized by the City, and users are advised to use playgrounds with caution. Always sanitize your hands before and after use, and adhere to all physical distancing requirements and limit yourself to members of your household. Please spread out and enjoy playgrounds responsibly. If your local playground is full, consider trying a different area.

Rundle, Riverside and Victoria golf courses are open. Tee times can be booked on MoveLearnPlay. Victoria golf course driving range is also open for drop in. Please adhere to all public health measures for outdoor sports and recreation.

Edmonton Valley Zoo
Outdoor areas at the zoo are open for the public. Tickets are being sold online only at MoveLearnPlay. Please adhere to all public health orders for outdoor gatherings and remember that masks are required in all areas of the zoo.
