In Red Cross Swim Kids Level 7, 8, 9 and 10 participants will learn:

  • front and back crawls (work up to 100 meters)
  • back stoke (work up to 50 meters)
  • breast stroke (work up to 25 meters)
  • whip kick on the front and back
  • combining different strokes and kicks for fitness
  • endurance swimming (up to 350 meters)
  • Standing, head-first and feet-first surface dives and standing dives 
  • airway and breathing obstructions
  • reaching assists and stride entries
  • performance of rescue breathing on children and adults
  • the dangers of open water and hypothermia
  • wise choices
  • peer influences
  • self-rescue from ice
