Through a variety of 'hands-on' activities such as baking on a wood-burning stove or playing pioneer games, children will learn about the past.

Urban Pioneers for Homeschoolers

Transport back in time to John Walter's 1875 and 1887 homes. Together we will bring history to life by baking scones on a wood burning stove, churning butter, dipping a candle and making a wool based craft. Through these hands-on activities we'll discover the lives of early Edmontonians and experience how the Walterdale community changed over time. Adult attendance for this program is optional. However, we ask that no more than 1 adult attends per registered child.

Course prices may vary due to varying course lengths, number of sessions, option to purchase materials, etc.
