There are a number of things to keep in mind when booking our facility for your event. If you have any additional questions, you can contact a customer service representative at 780-496-4928 who will be more than happy to assist you.
Please note: Northgate Lions Seniors Recreation Centre is a smoke-free environment. There are ashtrays at the front of the building and on our patio for those who wish to smoke.
Before Your Event
A Facility Attendant will open the facility at the time stated on your rental contract or booking confirmation. This person will be onsite during your rental and will be available to assist your group with any questions about room location, equipment, electrical outlets.
If due to unforseen circumstances the Facility Attendant does not arrive in time to let you into the Facility, at the time stated on your rental contract, you may call 311 and they will contact the Facility Manager to have someone let you in.
Note: Staff will not be available to supervise the coat check area.
- Sorry – no candles or confetti is permitted.
- Use only masking tape to affix decorations. No nails or staples or other adhesive devises are allowed.
- Removed decorations immediately following your event.
- There is an additional fee and a minimum of two hours to decorate for those using an outside caterer.
Room Set Up
If you are using outside caterers: There is a charge for set up of the tables and chairs. Please provide the Rental Coordinator with a floor plan.
If you are using our in-house caterers: Set up of the auditorium will be done for you free of cost. After discussing with the caterer, please provide the Rental Coordinator with a floor plan.
After Your Event
Room Clean Up and Take Down
When booking the facility, ensure you take into consideration the time it will take to remove all decorations and disc jockey (DJ) take down, and book accordingly.
Clean up and take down of tables and chairs is provided in the cost of the rental. Renters who have not used our in-house caterers must remove all garbage from the tables. If you have rented dishes and cutlery they must be removed immediately after your event. They cannot be left in the building for pick up on another date.
Any labour costs resulting from excessive cleaning will be billed directly to the client.
