The Junior Fire Cadet Camp is an opportunity for youth aged 12-15 to learn about firefighting through a mix of classroom lectures, physical training and hands on learning activities.
Has your teen always wondered what it would be like to be a Firefighter? In this camp, they will learn the basic fundamentals of Edmonton Fire Rescue services including: firefighter personal protective equipment, fire extinguishers, firefighting tools, vehicle extrication, fire apparatus, search and rescue, and basic firefighting skills. Campers will interact with members of the Fire Cadet Program as well as Training Officers and Firefighters. This week will be exciting and challenging with a mix of classroom lectures, hands on learning and physical training. Each day they will learn new cooking skills and teamwork as they build lunch with their peers. The week will give each camper confidence and a new understanding of the Edmonton Fire Rescue Services.
