AED/CPR Courses offered by the City of Edmonton provide training for the operation of an automated external defibrillator.

AED and CPR - C

The advanced course/recert is subject to additional fees for Exams and Materials. An AED or automated external defibrillator, is a small portable device which analyzes a heart's rhythm and prompts a user to deliver a defibrillation shock if it determines one is needed. An AED can increase the chances of a patient's survival in a heart-related event. This course/recert prepares a candidate for all aspects of its use. Please bring proof of any previous award.

AEC/CPR Recert

The AED and CPR 'C' awards are current for a period of two years from the date of exam. This exam retests all the items required as well as providing any updated information. Successful completion of this exam will extend the award for another two years. This course is subject to extra fees for exam and materials that can not be exempted.
