About the Project
Starting in September 2015, there will be intermittent closures of the shared use paths on the High Level Bridge to allow crews to install safety rails along both the west and east sides of the bridge. There will be occasional single-lane road closures on the bridge during construction, but closures will only occur during off-peak hours to minimize traffic impacts.
The project will take place from September 2015 to June 2016. To minimize inconvenience for pedestrians and cyclists, only one shared use path at a time will be closed. Detour signage will be in place to direct users to the open side of the bridge. Crews will also be closing a small portion of Ezio Faraone Park to use as a staging area.
